For children who just can’t wait for Halloween, Eastern Connecticut Ballet’s Spooktacular serves up a mix of “BOO-tiful” dancing, clever costumes, and a chance for young audiences to be a part of the fun.

Offering treats both on and off the stage, the Spooktacular performance combines bewitching ballet, classical music, and special effects.

Returning to the stage will be the haunting “Halloween Waltz” and “The Sorcerer's Apprentice,” the tale of a novice wizard with a malfunctioning magic wand. The giggle inducing crowd favorite “Dancing Bones” will feature life-size, glow-in-the-dark skeletons. No need to fear as the phantasms are fascinating, not frightening. This 35-minute friendly spirited performance is just right for families of all ages.

Audience members beware: ECB's Ballet Spooktacular of years past have been a sell-out, and tickets are likely to perform a disappearing act once again.

Sensory- Friendly Performance (Sat 11:30am)

Enjoy a performance where families with children who need sensory accommodations can share the experience of Ballet Spooktacular!

This special performance will offer a limited number of general admission tickets so families can find the seats that are just right for them once they arrive inside the theater.  The house lights will be lowered slightly but remain on, and big moments of loud sound and flashing lights will be reduced.  Audience members are free to talk and move about during the show, and the costume parade will take place in front of the stage for additional ease.   If you have questions regarding this special performance, don’t hesitate to contact the box office at 860.510.0453.
