MARJORIE JOLIDON was a lifelong music teacher, organist and president of several musical organizations. She was passionate about the arts and was an advocate for animals. By the time the Kate opened, Marjorie was homebound and limited to her classic movies on television. She learned about all of the wonderful performances and fascinating cultural events taking place here at the Kate through friends and wanted to contribute to the Kate’s future.
A generous gift from her estate arrived to the Kate in 2013 and so began the Golden Pond Legacy Society. Today, Marjorie’s generosity continues to support quality arts and cultural events for audience members of all ages.
The Golden Pond Legacy Society recognizes donors who honor their commitment to the Kate and its programming through future giving. Your gift will ensure that you are remembered both by those who directly benefit from your generosity, as well as those who will be inspired by your example. Whether your estate is large, modest, or somewhere in-between, you can help ensure a healthy future for the Kate so that it will enhance our community through the arts today and be here for generations to come.
How to qualify for recognition in The Golden Pond Legacy Society:
- You can remember The Kate in your will with a gift of cash, bonds, stocks or appreciated assets and property that specify they are being designated to the Kate.
- The Kate may be designated a beneficiary (in whole or in part) of a life insurance policy, individual retirement account (IRA) or charitable trust.
When planning a future gift, you should consult your attorney, accountant, or wealth manager. This will help you find the form of giving that makes sense for you.
