Volunteer positions are available in the following areas:
Box Office Assistant
Work with the Box Office Manager during Box Office hours to assist patrons at the Box Office window and on the phone. Comfort and familiarity with computers is necessary.
House Manager
Oversee a complete show with complement of ushers from before the doors open until the last patron has left the building. House managers ensure every guest has a first-class Kate experience.
Usher
Support the house manager and ensure each guest has a first-class experience while seating them, at intermission, and as they exit the theater.
Poster/Brochure Distribution
Assist in the distribution of quarterly brochures and monthly posters to area business.
Receptionist/Gift Shop Representative
Situated at the front doors, greet guests as they arrive at the Kate, direct them toward the museum or box office, sell items at the Kate’s Gift Shop, and assist in answering the main phone line during business hours.
Museum Docent
Train to conduct guided tours of the beautiful Katharine Hepburn Museum, featuring personal letters, home movies, wardrobe items and other memorabilia. Provide information to those choosing a self-guided tour during regular Museum hours, Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Docents may be scheduled for special group tours at other times. Docents also sell items for the Gift Shop.
Hospitality
Be in the middle of the action backstage as you ensure artists’ hospitality riders are met and they are comfortable while guests of the Kate.
Special Events
Join the team that works on the Kate’s Annual Oscar Party, the Annual Gala, and other special events in a way that fits best for you.
